Is your surface type suitable for use?

This section is mainly for our inflatables as there are different rules and regulations for different surface types.

Examples of outdoor hard standings

As you may have read elsewhere on our site, any inflatable set up on any outdoor hard standing has to have at least 163kg of weight per anchor, the minimum amount of anchors is 6. This adds up to a considerable amount of weight even for the smallest of inflatables and makes fitting an one to an outdoor hardstanding nearly impossible.

  • Patio or slabbed area
  • Concrete yard
  • Wooden Decking
  • Astroturf

Be aware that grass may not always be suitable.

Please be aware that in rare circumstances we may not be able to peg your inflatable to the ground due to the ground being too hard (e.g. the ground is dry or full of stones/rubble). We can also struggle to peg an inflatable down if the ground is too soft (e.g. the ground is wet/boggy or even too sandy). In these cases, delivery will have already been made and no refunds or future credit can be given. If weather has been dry in the weeks upcoming to your event, we suggest watering the area every other day for a week to ensure ground is soft enough for our pegs, without making the area boggy and muddy.

Examples of why we could refuse to fit your inflatable

We do hold the right and will refuse to fit any inflatable to any area we think is unsafe for the users or may damage our equipment. There are certain things to look out for in your proposed set up area before you place a booking with us. If we refuse to leave any items, this does not warrant any refunds or exchanges as delivery of the agreed items will have already been made, so please check and double check your set up areas to avoid any disappointment. Here are some things to look out for.

  • Drops/Cliffs
  • Raised edges
  • Raised Boarders
  • Overhead cables
  • Thorn bushes or other foliage too close
  • Overhanging trees
  • Man hole/drain/services covers

Astroturf and Artificial Grass

We refuse any type of Astroturf and Artificial Grass as or pegs would have to penetrate the material to punch into the ground which would then leave holes in the material once the pegs are removed. Another reason we refuse any inflatables on artificial grass is because we cannot ever be sure what the ground consists of below the surface (sand, gravel or mud etc)
