How Much Space Do I Need?

Please note that the item size and the space required for safe use are two different measurements. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all hired products fit safely within the setup area.

No refunds will be given if there is inadequate space.

All product dimensions can be found on the individual product pages. You must also check that items will fit through single doors, gates and alleyways. Some inflatables can be very large even when deflated and rolled.

If you are unsure about any measurements, call us before booking.

Space Requirements for Inflatables

All inflatables require additional space for safe operation.

Rear Space (Inflation Tube & Blower)

  • Inflation tube: 1.5 metres (legal requirement)

  • Blower length: 0.4 metres

  • Total rear clearance required: approx. 1.8 metres

The inflation tube and blower are usually located at the rear, but may occasionally be positioned on the side.

Side Clearance

  • 1.5 metres clear space on both the left and right sides

  • This helps prevent injury if someone falls or exits the inflatable unexpectedly

Front Clearance

  • 3 metres of clear space to the front

  • Required for safety mats and to allow safe movement around the inflatable

Summary – Inflatable Clearance Needed

  • Rear: 1.8m

  • Left & Right: 1.5m each side

  • Front: 3m

Space Requirements for Soft Play

Soft play sizes are listed on each product page and refer to the exact size of the floor mats.

We recommend allowing at least 1.5 metres of space around the setup. With close supervision, this space can sometimes be reduced, for example when placing soft play closer to a wall or corner.
